Hello & Welcome!
My name is Mary Beth Martini, LISW-S, and I am proud to be a member of the Embrace Recovery and Wellness team.
In 2003, I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with my Bachelor’s in Education, and began teaching with the idea that I could have the greatest impact on others in the classroom. Though I enjoyed my time teaching, I wanted to do more for the children and families struggling due to depression, abuse, anxiety, divorce, trauma, addictions, and other mental health concerns. I’ve always been the one who advocated for others and been the “go to” person when anyone was going through hard times. I felt I could use those skills to help more people not just to survive, but to thrive no matter what life had thrown at them. When I learned more about the social work field, and the endless opportunities to help others that it could lead to, it was the obvious and natural next step for me. I earned my Masters in Social Work from The University of Cincinnati in 2011, and still my passion continues to grow as I help others.
My personal and professional experiences have led to successfully starting up domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, and dual diagnosis programs for adults and adolescents. I’ve also continued to use my education background to start up school based services for youth and their families. Through the use of evidence based practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques, we will work together to achieve you’re personalized goals. By keeping sessions solution focused, individuals gain a sense of accomplishment each time they leave my office. Individuals will learn realistic coping skills and boundary setting while gaining insight to harmful thinking patterns and emotional awareness for long term stability and continued growth. I like to incorporate humor and keeping things “real” while we work together, so you can thrive through whatever tribulation you are facing. I enjoy treating addictions and mental health in people of all ages and walks of life. I’m also passionate about helping individuals, especially youth and young adult, suffering from the impact of trauma. I’m truly doing what I love by helping those emerged in an ever-changing, but always familiar set of life struggles.
